Challenges Faced, Lessons Learned

Through our lesson in first quarter, I've discovered and gained new knowledge. Upon discovering this new knowledge I encountered many challenges that makes my journey more difficult but fun and what I did to address this problems.

As we completed the first quarter of this school year I gained many new discoveries and knowledge. Things like, plate tectonics theory, how the earth was a supercontinent called “PANGEA” before. And became the basis of the plate tectonics theory. I also learned how volcanoes, mountains, and other geological landforms, they are formed because of the different plate movements. I’ve also known many notable people who help to discover internet and the ones who introduced internet to the philippines. The famous people in the field of music and arts, and their different style they use. In math, I learned many formulas. This first quarter I gained many knowledge these are the lessons that I enjoy a lot. Studying is not effective and fun if you didn’t face any problems. I faced many challenges like time management issues, poor study habits, distractions, and balancing academics and personal life. This problems are the main cause of my poor academic performance. The things that I did to address this challenges are ask for help to the person that who is willingly to help. I make a schedule to know what I will do to avoid cramming due to lack of time, focus to the things that you are doing to avoid any distraction.

Moving on I will always do not just try your best. You need to be strong and have a determination to face the challenges. Studying is hard but I always remember that this will lead me to a better future, the successful one.

The Real Victory of Nutrition Month: Its All About Small Actions

July in the Philippines is a special time. It's were we celebrate National Nutrition Month, a nationwide effort to remind us all how important good nutrition is for our health. It’s all about getting good practice like learn how to pick healthier foods and make sure every Filipino gets the healthy meals they need to be strong and happy. It's a vibrant, nationwide activity towards a healthier future for all Filipino.

During nutrition month many activities has been done. This activity includes Nutrijingle, quiz bee, and other competitions. Its fun to join in different competitions, you can experience joy in the same time pressure. During the Nutrijingle contest we were so eager to aim the 1st place, so we practice and we put the best that we can during that time. We felt the pressure because people expectation for us are high, but during this time it feels like new adventure for me. Going to practice and making new beautiful memories as we try new things. Going to places with my classmates the bond that we share is a treasure, driving looking for a place to eat, laughing thru silly things. Sadly, we failed to reach what we aim for. But, I'm still grateful with our achievements.

Nutrition Month celebration is not just an event. It’s a reminder for us to eat healthy foods, to make our body healthier and stronger. And an awareness about the import of healthy diet. The key to long-term success is focusing on the small actions. Things like eating veggies with your lunch or choosing water instead of a sugary drink are the basic step for a healthier life. The real victory of Nutrition Month is that it inspires us to make those tiny changes, turning a one-month focus into a permanent, healthy lifestyle.

The Rollercoaster Path of Her Unfinished Story

I would like to introduce myself. I am Kate Danielle Racacho 15 years old, from Tamorong, Sta. Catalina. I belonged to special program in science, grade 10 student. I am one of the student who are "Happy Go Lucky". Every individual has a talent and dreams. I am someone who always been curious to the things that surrounds me. My journey as a STE student is not straight as a ruler, Every inch that I pass gives challenges. Bur every challenge gives lesson and open new opportunity.

As I entered in that school, I know that I want to study there. During enrolment I didn't realized that my mother signed me in Science Technology and Engineering Program. I took my exam without any review, squeezing my brain just so I can write something. After many hours of writing while praying, the exam finally finished. I went home straight to my bed and doze off, I woke up hearing my parents saying that I passed the exam. And this is how my rollercoaster journey began.

During my 7th and 8th grade, I experienced many things like being pressured to my studies, and happiness that my classmates gave me. 3rd year of high school , this is where I face the real challenge as an STE student. First time doing research is difficult, arguing with your groupmates, never ending revision, and at the same time the pressure from other subjects. Now that I'm in the 10th grade, this will be more difficult. This year will measure your ability, the pressure is strong, you need to strive harder just to meet their expectations and for you to able to graduate. As much as i want this school year to end fast i don't like that to happen, I still want to enjoy my high school because everybody says that it was the happiest part of studying. But the main reason why I don’t want this to end because I'm still not sure about what i want to for my future. Choosing course is the hardest decision to make for me. I want to become architect, designing houses, building, and the house that I want in the future. But in the same time i want to pursue accountancy and after i graduate and pass the exam, I will continue to study law. I want to pursue this two course because, i think that this two will be the key of successful life.

I am someone who has a very messy dream, someone who wants to learn, to grow more, and to fix her messy dreams together. It made me realize that we have a bright future, we need to pass through a lot of dark path. We need to have a strong personality, confidence, and be ready to unexpected challenges. To overcome those challenges you need this abilities. I always believed that you need to do your best, and god will do the rest.
